Recently had to explain to a Fortnite kid what Unreal Tournament was. Plays a game made by Epic and never heard of UT.

Watching Tears of the Kingdom coverage, most of the people covering it go about as far back as playing Twilight Princess. Not even OoT.

lol yeah, watching streams isn't my jam either. When I do watch others gameplay, it's always alongside a game I'm playing. Like if I'm really into a fighting game, can soak up a ton of knowledge from watching some high level matches.

Never watch gameplay for something I don't even want to play lol.

Have you ever heard of something called being curious about whatever, and spend time checking it out without buying it? Yea, crazy concept, i know.

Your statement on Twitch is as dumb as telling to someone to stop watching a car race, and just go race in your own supercar that you don't own. Its called entertainment, the same thing as gaming itself, scrub.
