Though, some game modes will still be playable offline.

Nintendo Switch Online game Pac-Man 99 will be delisted on October 8, 2023. Those who purchase Mode Unlock or Deluxe Pack DLC will be able to play certain modes offline, even after the game's online service has shuttered.

This comes by way of Nintendo, which announced an "end of service" schedule for Pac-Man 99. On August 8, players will no longer be able to purchase Custom Themes; on September 8, Mode Unlock and Deluxe Pack DLC will no longer be buyable; and on October 8, the game will no longer be available (though, if you had it installed on your system, you'll be able to redownload it).

After the game shuts down, the Battle Royale mode (both private and public) and the online leaderboards will not be accessible. CPU Battle, Score Attack and Blind Time Attack will all remain playable to those who purchase Mode Unlock or Deluxe Pack DLC before September 8.

Pac-Man 99 was available at no additional cost to Nintendo Switch Online members. It's a battle royale game, wherein players were tasked with eliminating other users online to be the last person standing. It received lots of support following its release in 2021, eventually becoming a robust package with plenty of content.
