"The first new IP announced by Telltale since the company re-formed in 2019, The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set prior to the events of Alcon Television Group’s critically acclaimed and award-winning television series which streams on Amazon Prime Video," reads a description of the game.

Telltale Games shut down in 2018 before the name was revived under new leadership the following year. The company is best known for its narrative adventure games such as The Walking Dead, Batman, Tales from the Borderlands, and Minecraft Story Mode. Telltale Games is currently working on The Wolf Among Us 2, which is gearing up to launch sometime in 2024 at an unannounced date.
